IT recruitment activity in the construction industry in Mexico increases by 0.8% in March 2022

Mexico’s construction industry saw a 0.8% increase in hiring activity in the IT sector in March 2022 compared to the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

Overall industry hiring increased 6.76% in March 2022 compared to February 2022.

Of the total construction industry hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 9.86% share in March 2022, down 0.14% from the average share for the last three months .

The top five job classifications in Mexico’s construction industry IT recruitment activity as of March 2022

Of the total number of job titles, the top five roles accounted for a 99.04% share of the overall construction industry IT recruitment activity in Mexico in March 2022.

1) Software and web developers, programmers and testers recorded a share of 57.69% in March 2022, registering a growth of 22.45% compared to the previous month.

2) Database and network administrators and architects claimed a share of 13.46%, down 22.22% from the previous month.

3) Computer and information analysts held an 11.54% share, recording an increase of 71.43% from February 2022.

4) IT Support Specialists captured a 10.58% share, up 37.5% from the prior month.

Top Five Construction Companies in IT Recruitment Activity in Mexico as of March 2022

The top five companies, by number of jobs tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 35.09% in share of overall construction industry IT recruitment activity in Mexico in March 2022 per compared to February 2022.

Honeywell International posted 44 IT jobs in March 2022 and grew 109.52% from the previous month, followed by NANA RegionalInc with 13 jobs and a growth of 333.33%. Cummins with 8 IT jobs and Black & Veatch with 6 jobs, saw growth of 60% and a decline of 33.33%, respectively, while General Electric saw a decline of 68.42% with 6 job offers. employment in March 2022.

Junior-level job openings dominate in March 2022

Junior-level jobs held a share of 61.54%, up 14.29% from February 2022. Mid-level positions, with a share of 22.12%, saw an increase of 76.92 % compared to the previous month.

In third place were entry-level vacancies with 14.42% market share, down 21.05% from February 2022, while senior vacancies accounted for 1.92%, registering stable month-on-month growth.
