Penthouses are in high demand in luxury retreat project designed by Bates Smart

Luxury retirement living is reaching new heights with the release of seven penthouse residences at Lendlease’s five-star retirement community, Ardency Kennedy Place in Richmond.

Ardency Kennedy Place is Lendlease’s prestigious intergenerational living area located on Bendigo Street, Richmond, on the former site of Channel 9 studios. Designed by award-winning architects Bates Smart, the luxury two and three bedroom penthouses are located on the upper floors superiors of the development, with future residents having the benefit of stunning views of the city or the Dandenong mountain ranges.

Featuring high quality fittings and finishes, with generously proportioned living areas and maximized natural light throughout, all penthouses feature natural stone finishes, European hardwood flooring and ample storage, with some units also including a built-in fireplace. Interiors range in size from 104 to 229 m², with each apartment featuring a spacious terrace and two parking spaces.

The largest is a three-bedroom penthouse that enjoys dual-aspect views with an impressive 229m² interior floor plan that can accommodate a 12-seater dining table and a grand piano.

“Our penthouses are the last chance for retirees looking for the ultimate luxury residence in a Melbourne retirement community. This vibrant Richmond neighborhood allows retirees to embrace an urban lifestyle while experiencing the diversity and vibrant connections they can have across generations in this unique place and community,” said Nathan. Cockerill, managing director of Lendlease – residence for retirees.

Two of the penthouses have already been sold, with only five units now available for retirees to secure a luxury residence.

Buyers will also be able to meet with a Bates Smart Architect for a personalized presentation of their residence’s design as well as a free design consultation with luxury furniture retailer Coco Republic.

Observing that penthouse apartment layouts have been developed to enhance quality of life, particularly in the context of retirement, Bates Smart Director Mark Healey said: “A bounty of social spaces such as kitchens and adjoining living areas encourage gatherings of friends and extended families and while ensuring bathrooms and storage are maximized to mimic the family home.

In addition to penthouses, the development also offers a range of two and three bedroom apartments.

Ardency Kennedy Place is expected to be completed in early 2023.
