Senior and Junior Construction Administrators – New York, NY, USA | Works

Be part of our growing technical and construction team in our New York office and play a key role in the implementation of several high profile landscape architecture, urban design and public realm projects.

Job Overview
Primary responsibility will be construction administration of multiple concurrent projects from construction initiation to final completion. Responsibilities will include the coordination of all activities related to the administration of construction contracts, such as field inspections and reports, review of tenders and shop drawings, review of payment requests, reviewing mockups, responding to RFIs, coordinating with consultants, attending progress meetings, tagging trees, and preparing checklists. The senior position will also include QA/QC of construction documents, as well as leadership guidance on technical issues across the office.


  • Minimum education – Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, architecture or construction.
  • Ability to travel as required to oversee assigned projects.
  • Senior Construction Administrator: Minimum of 5-6 years of construction and hands-on experience. Work on public tender projects and knowledge of LEED/SITES an asset. Extensive knowledge of landscape architectural design, detailing, building materials, codes, construction techniques and costs.
  • Junior Construction Administrator: 1-2 years of construction and field experience preferred.
  • Software Programs – Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience with Revit and Rhino is a plus with other construction software.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills
  • Resourceful, organized, helpful, multitasking, dependable, trustworthy. Organized and able to make multiple decisions while working on multiple construction projects.
